Hi all,
this might have been already covered in the forum....

I'm running Windows ME and my PC will not shut down properly. The monitor goes off and the power light on the PC goes out but the fan still operates and the keyboard lights are still on. The only way I can fully powerdown the system is keep the power button pressed.

only problem with that is that on restart, Scandisk runs as windows detected incorrect shut down .... very annoying ...

any thoughts pls !!!

Thx.

I believe I have set it to never shut down in the power options in the control panel. I'll check this out later ...
