Windows ME and 200 conflict with XP

I purchased XP Pro upgrade to upgrade from windows 2000 and discovered I have
Windows 2000 and Windows ME loaded on my computer. XP Pro says I cannot
upgrade ME with 2000 loaded and the same with 2000. I don't want to do a
complete install just an upgrade. How can I remove one of the current OS?
Preferably ME.

I know it does not solve your current problem, but believe me, you are
better off with a clean install of Windows XP.

Try opening "boot.ini" and remove Windows ME from the list. It may be hidden
file, so enable hidden files in the Folder Options menu. Ah.......Windows
ME...good times....gooood times......
