I had the same problem with windows mail. My service provider uses an IMAP
server thru GMAIL. When I first set up VISTA I used a password to log in
when my computer booted up. As soon as I went into the Control Panel,User
Accounts and set up my account not to require a password to log in, my
windows mail started giving me the same problems described in the forum.
I went into Windows Mail, deleted my accounts, then went into Control
Panel set up the same Login password as I had deleted. I then recreated my
Email accounts. After doing these tasks, my email has worked just fine!!

Larry,
I have been working with cmputers for 30 years and have never been so
confused. However I have no thoughts of giving up yet. I guess if it wasn't
for change we would all be saying that isn't what I thought you wrote and
I'll have your numbers for you on Tuesday... next week. I guess it just makes
me feel dump and I'm stubbren and don't want to ask for help. I finely looked
at your mail and I figured out what I needed to do. Thanks for the help.
