A recent Trend antivirus program (details not available) is also among those
that cause problems in Windows Mail. So you may have just traded one
trouble for another. It's also among the antivirus programs that must be
uninstalled, not just disabled, to stop them from causing problems. Avoid
McAfee also - it causes such problems too.

For a replacement program that doesn't cause problems in Windows Mail,
try either avast! or AVG, preferably after a custom install that tells it to
leave out the part that scans email:

After the christmas...I still cant send emails....I have tried everything, I
have now gone to avast and took off scanning options, so must conclude it is
something to do with Windows mail configurations. I tried tosend emails with
no anti virus software and still it doesnt work. I downloaded the link that
was given in other posts.."download for messages that may hang in outbox" and
my computer stated that it want needed!!
What can i do now!!

Did you try both the 32-bit version of the download and the 64-bit version?
One will refuse to install, but which one depends on which version of Vista
you have.

After problems caused by antivirus programs, you sometimes have to
remove your email account in Windows Mail and then create it again
to get rid of all the hidden problems.
