I'm using a cable provider email address but want to use Windows Mail as the
tool to send / recieve messages.

1- When first set up my email using Windows Mail ... it worked great!
2 - Then after 30 days it quit "sending" messages only! ... I still receive.
3 - The Sent mail goes into the Outbox and sits....
4- Since I haven't made any changes to the set up I can't understand why it
just quit working.
I've read the prior posts and can't find anything that helps.

A fix as been released by M$ to resolve the problem of stuck mail:

"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista"

What antivirus programs if any do you have? Some of the common
ones cause various problems in Windows Mail, although seldom
immediately.

Download and install this fix, without Windows Mail running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

It is labelled as for messages stuck in the Outbox, but also
works in other folders. If you don't know whether to use
the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit
version first. If you have certain antivirus programs,
the problem is likely to come back eventually, in which
case installing the fix again usually works again.
