I just went into my Windows mail to verify that something was sent and ALL my
sent messages are gone. Does anyone know what would have caused this or how
to get them back?

Thank you

Thank you

Open Sent Items Folder>View menu>current view>select show all messages.

It is already set to show all messages. It was fine this morning - but now
they are all gone.

It's possible that the view setting is set to "hide read messages".
Highlight the Sent folder, then click on View - Current View - show all
messages.

Deb, the setting is "Folder specific", you did check the setting while
viewing Sent Items Folder?

Yes, I had the sent folder highlighted. I don't know what's up with this
Vista, but for the last year - it's been nothing but trouble.

Windows Mail occasionally has problems with a setting that's
only partial - enough to display but not to work. Try this:
Click on Sent Items to select that folder. Click on View, then
Current View, then Hide Read Messages, then View again, then
Current View again, then Show All Messages.

Then click on View again, then Current View again. If there's a
dot or checkmark before anything other than Show All Messages,
click on that item; otherwise click somewhere the screen is blank.

Are you running one of the non-compatible antivirus programs,
Norton, McAfee, or Trend Micro?
