Windows mail lost

I had a problem this morning. I have windows vista and use window mail. I
went to open up my mail this morning and I saw my mail boxes scattered all
over the place. Ie: inbox, deleted, sent an a couple other I use and have
names like trips.

I went to look in the mail and the mail was in the scattered boxes but it
the original that are still in the same place there was no mail. I tried
moving the scattered up to the original boxes but nothing.

I then shut down mail and started all over and my mail box was back like it
should have been but all my email that we sent, deleted, drafts and trips
were gone. No info at all in them. So I lost all my emails. Anyone have a way
to fix this?

Disable email scanning of your antivirus software. See
www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

To try and locate your messages, search for *.eml and you can then drag the
results overtop a WinMail folder and drop them to incorporate them back into
WinMail.
