Windows mail problems - re-opens

I have a problem with Windows mail from a time back. I think the problem
started when i downloaded McAffee Virus, but can´t be sure of that.

My problem is that when I start my computer my Windows mail are opening by
itself, and it disturbes my working at the computer. I have read and looked
for a long time after a solution and have not found one. I have got some
suggestions which I have tried to follow, but nothing has helped. So I
decided to reboot my computer to get rid of the problem.
Since I had read that Norton could cause problem, I didn´t choose to
download this and at the moment I have no anti-virus in my computer. But it
worked fine with Norton antivirus the first year this computer was new.
After rebooting I was very surprised to see that my email-program - meaning
Windows mail still did open the first thing. I rebooted again, but same thing
happened.
When I close the Windows mail it opens and opens, and many times it could be
from 10 to 1000 messages saying that Windows mail cannot open because there
is another instance running on the computer.
So it is not possible to close the program.
And a part of the problem is a little box keep coming up showing a picture
of an email, and that pop up all the time. it was not there before - and it
has nothing to do with the time I have set the program to check for mails. It
can check every second for mails even if I have set it to not check for mails
at all.
Since the program have downloaded all my mails again, I don´t want to delete
it any more and hope someone have a solution to this problem before i dowload
any other things.

1: Start | All Programs | Startup Folder. Make sure Windows Mail is not
listed there. If it is, delete it.

Start | Run and type in "msconfig" (without quotes) OK | Startup Tab. If
Windows Mail is listed, uncheck it.
