Windows Mail not present after upgrade

I recently upgraded from XP to Vista Pro. I have the Windows Calendar, and
Contacts, but the program Windows Mail is NOT on the PC. I did not have
Outlook Express on the PC as I was using Thunderbird. Can I download it? I
have an Acer PC and I would have to go all the way back to a clean install of
XP to get Outlook Express so Windows Mail would show up. That just sounds
pointless. I was/am looking forward to trying it out.

I'd post this in the Vista Installation_setup newsgroup.

You can't download Windows Mail and it doesn't matter is Outlook Express was
used or not on XP.

As far as I know it is not possible to fail to have Outlook Express
in XP, or Windows Mail in Vista. If you have no Windows Mail shortcut
in All Programs, navigate to C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe,
right-click on it and select Create Shortcut.

Go to Control Panel | Default Programs and see if WinMail is listed there.
If so, make it default.
