upgrading from Outlook Express to Windows Mail

Trying to upgrade from Outlook Express to Windows mail. Am not receiving
mail and can't send mail out. Message "The host SMPT could not be found"
and "The host POP3" could not be found.
Need help.

Make the SMTP port 587 and make sure: My Server Requires Authentication is
checked. Follow all directions at this link to the letter.

You haven't entered the correct server names. Use the same ones you
had in Windows XP.

If that is a Comcast account, the correct settings are documented here:

Note that the outgoing server requires port 587 rather than port 25.
Also, "My server requires authentication" must be checked.
Those instructions were written for Outlook Express, but Windows Mail
uses the same settings.
