Windows Mail loses messages

When I attempt to drag and drop and email from the deleted folder back into
the inbox, it disappears after the attempt. Also when I attempt to forward an
email from the sent items folder it disappears after the forwarding process.
 
Make sure that in each of those folders the view is set to
"Show All Messages."
