losing emails

Once an email is read, it disappears. Not into deleted mail folder--it just
disappears
 
View | Current View. You want: Show All Messages, not Hide Read Messages.
 
i can send e-mails but cannot receive them i can't send e-mails now the line
at the top of page is gone that says send-reply- receive-delete-etc.
