windows mail intermittant fault with sending&receiving attachments

recently purchased new computor with windows vista 32up till recently it was
going fine til I had a bad crash & dell recommended I wipe clean my harddrive
after saving my docs ets,but I am having intermittant faults with windows
mail attachments,I would say the attachments are doc files and not large, i
have checked out as much as i know but still the problem I also use gmail I
get emails and attachments with gmail but at the same time only the email
goes into mail windows without attachment.? ? any advise .

the exact same thing happened to me. I believe on reinstall the windows mail
security option was set higher as a default than I had it before.
change setting in = windows mail/tools/options/security

HI/ what settings do you suggest I alter as ive looked at the mail/tools
options and security and cant see anything to adjust, thanks for your help.

What are your exact symptoms?

Under Tools, Options, Security, make sure that "Do not allow attachments..."
is unchecked.
