Windows Mail for Newsgroups only

Rod Davies

Hi. I do not use Windows Mail for MAIL. Got that configured right. I use
Outlook 2007. But I do use WinMail for Newsgroups/Communities like this one.
My question is how do I set the defaul view so I DO NOT see under Local
Folders the Inbox Sent Out etc whe I launch WinMail. I want the Local
Folders to be compressed and the Microsoft Communities folder to be exploded
when I start WinMail. I dont want to have to shrink Local Folders and Expand
Communities. Hope thats clear...

You can try a shortcut as follows:

"c:\program files\outlook express\WinMail.exe" /outnews
or
"c:\program files\outlook express\WinMail.exe" /newsonly
or
"c:\program files\outlook express\WinMail.exe" /news
