Windows locks up after installing lastest Hotfix

I have recently installed the lastest Hotfix from
Microsoft (MS04-011). When I install the patch and reboot
it takes about 5 min to get to the user login and about 3-
4 before Windows gets to the desktop. I got task manager
to run at startup and noticed that the "System" Process
was maxed out at 100%. I applied the "workaround" method
provided by Microsoft in the KB article 841382 but it
didn't help. If anyone has any idea on something else
that can be done please let me know.

You should be more careful about editing quoted text. I didn't make the
"switch to mac" comment. The comment I made you snipped. It could lead to
others being confused and mistakenly taking me for a mac-head. Moreover,
top-posting makes threads unreadable in a hurry. Thank you for your
future considerations.

I was able to uninstall the hotfix, through add/remove
programs, after 1.5hrs and a lot of patience.
2 of 12 systems updated have done this.
I have found no other workaround.

Call Microsoft, they have a fix for the fix (it will be included with
SP5). It is a free call - they will send you a link to download the
file.

This was a very silly problem, I am using SUS -- I hope it is the last
time an update like this gets pushed to my desktops!
