Windows locking up on a game

I am playing GTA: Vice City on my PC. The game was
playing well for the first few days. However, lately the
computer has been locking up while playing the game.
This only happens after a few minutes of game play. When
I check the event viewer, it shows the following
information:

"Warning: An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom0
during a paging operation".

and

"Error: The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block".

The 'source' was: cdrom (MSI CR52-M 52x32x52 CR-RW).

I have tired another game (GTA3) and had no performance
issues. I played the game for about 2 hours and had no
issues. I have also tried increasing the virtual memory
and this has not helped either.

Lasly, I have tried reinstalling the game on my other
optical drive (LG DVD-ROM) and had a 'Cyclic Redundancy
Check' error.

I think the game may be corrupt or damaged. What do you
think?

Thanks in advance
