Windows Loading To Blank Screen

when i start the computer it loads all the bios ok and
the computer still looks fine after the loading screen.
When it should show the Windows Xp welcome screen all
that is there is a black backround and a mouse pointer
with no Users.
i have tried to repair windows with the xp disk but after
it coppies the setup files and reboots the blank screen
apperes again.

Any Help would be good
