Windows Live Messenger 8.0

Using XP-Pro and after having installed, uninstalled, and then reinstalled
Live Messenger 8.0, I'm unable to send a Remote Assistance request through
Live Messenger- response is 'Live Messenger is not installed- Install now?'
despite the fact that it is and that I'm using it. Any suggestions most
welcome!

My suggestion: repost your question in
microsoft.public.windowsxp.messenger. The MVP in there, Jonathan Kay,
knows Messenger inside out and usually replies promptly.
