Windows Installer

I cannot get windows installer to run properly to install
various programs. I cannot initiate the Remote Desktop
because I cannot get it to install properly. I'm also
having Windows File Protection issues which after many
attempts to fix is still present, telling me to put in the
Win XP Pro CD but then after doing so tells me it is the
incorrect CD.

Other programs that will not install: Microsoft
IntelliPoint, Microsoft MSN Messenger, etc.

Please help!!!!

Did you get this error message?

"The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. You may be running in
Safe mode or Windows Installer may not be correctly installed. "

If you did then follow the instructions on this website and your
installation files should work again.
