I have had Windows XP Pro on my PC for sometime along
with Norton Anti Virus 03. After I did a windows update,
somehow the Norton became corrupted. I call MS and they
helped me but also deleted the Norton because of the
corruption. After a couple of months, became tired of
the viruses and reinstalled Norton two days ago. Now I
get a message that the CPU is looking for "windows
installer" and asked to put the CD in the drive. I do
that, but does not find the file "pro.msi", so I have to
cancel. This is very annoying since every time I change
pages on the net or programs or users, the window pops up
asking me to put the disk in because it is looking for
the "windows Installer". Don't know where to go from
here. Thanks...frustrated
