I have genuine Windows XP and had also got installed NORTON anti virus with
Internet security 2006.
Suddenly windows XP and Norton clashed and my NORTON & XP got currupted. The
automated system of NORTON advised to un-install and then re-install. Since,
un-installing the NORTON system crashed and could be recovered by Windows
recovery console provided by HP. The re-installation of NORTON is getting
failed by windows installer and also the windows installer is continously
running and running and getting failed for what it is trying to do, including
failure of installation of NORTON and other programs, updates..
I have also wrote to NORTON several times but no favourable response and
solutions!
Can any one help me to recover from this.
The solution provided to Kentucky_Angel for re-installing windows installer
engine ver 3.0 also failed!
