on start up laptop now displays barchart and preparing to
install for a few moments. did not have this a month ago,
now getting me down. how do i get rid of this display?

On start up my laptop will suddenly NOT allow me to run software install disks.
(Always has previously). Error message says this may be due to "running in
SAFE Mode." Untrue. I have activated "Start up Normally" using the F8
key.


HELP!!
