Windows Installer runs intermittantly

Just did the SP2 upgrade and everything appears to be working ok..

however, when using IE or Outlook, several instances of the "Windows
Installer" pop on the screen, just like it is trying to install
something.. and then they just go way.. never say what they are trying
to do.. or if they are sucessful.

quite an annoyance.. anybody else have this behaviour??
 
I had the same problem it was my antivirus updates,showed
like installer,went into options and changed the time
apply,then changed them back like I had them set,and that
took care of it.
