Windows installer on windows 2000 pro error 1706

When I try to search for files and folders, I get the
screen that windows installer is running. I cancel the
message and it prompts me to load the windows 2000
professional disk. If I load the disk, will it load the
installer and will this take care of the problem? Thanks
for help with this problem.

It was asking for the MC Office 2000 disk. I loaded it
and it took care of the problem.
