i have been trying to download java for limewire and i keep getting this
error message that says windows installer "could not verify that the package
exist, etc"
I have tried to unitstall both limewire and java and redownload these
programs and continue to get the same message. I noticed all of this after
doing a system restore. Please help, have no idea what windows installer is?

Try this link: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

You may have a bad ActiveX module which blocks the automatic Java set
up to run. The link should bring you to the web page where you can
download Java. Select the "offline" download link under Windows.
This will get you the full Java install package.
