I need help!
I cannot install any software using the Windows Installer.
On the Knowleadge Base of Microsoft they recommend to de-install it and
after reboothing to install
the latest version of it.
They also indicate some ways to check that this service is installed and
working both within System32
and in the register branches.
I have tryied everything they say to do and still no way to use any
InstallShield. After waiting for a
while I receive the information that I cannot access the Windows Installer
(what do you say!), This happens
if I am in the Safe Windows way (i am not of course!)or the Installer has
not been correctly "installed",
a nice combination of words ;-)) by the way.
Or simply "1607:Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime".
Shortly the usually Microsoft extremely helpful info just telling you what
you already know but not how to solve it.
If anybody found a way to solve a similar situation I am very grateful for
any hint!
