windows installation problem Please help

I had win me in one partition xp in the other and linux in the other. due to some problem i had to fomat my hard drive and install win 2000. Now My problem is that when i start win 2000 it gives me an error that the file 'load=load=' is missin
the rest of windows is working fine but it can not detect my modem. I don't see the linux partition at all
I want to clean up my hard dirve entirely remove everything and then just install a fresh version of windows but I don't know know how to can you guys help??????? I don't have the sut up disk for linux to use that inorder to get rid of linux all i have is a win 2000 pro version of windows. Thanks for your time and help
 
Ok, the first error sounds like a problem in your boot.ini. But I wouldn't
worry about it if you are just going to reinstall your system with Win2k.

All you should do is - after backing up whatever data you want to keep -
boot with the Windows 2000 CD and during the installation process, delete
all the partitions, and then either create 1 new partition or just "Install"
and the setup process will create one for you. It will remove the Linux
partition. It is pretty intuative - i'm sure you'll have no problems.
