windows\inf

where can i get this file for windows. it is a hidden
file in xp. it is not the file from hp. i have that on
the cd. but when i install it it has nowhere to go. i
need to get it from micrsoft.
 
The Inf Folder is in C:\Windows. When in Windows Explorer>select
Tools>Folder Options>View Check Show hidden
files and folders and uncheck Hide protected operating system files.
 
thank you. now all i need to do is find the inf file in
c:\windows. any suggestions on how i should search?
 
Maybe you are looking for Win.ini Go to Start>Run type sysedit
