My problem is hard to explain. When opening up control
panel or printer window all the icons are in a tight
little window to the left where you have to scroll to see
them. I heard something about deleting a file that will
fix it, but I have no clue what is causing this exactly.
Any help would be great! Thanks!

Try deleting c:\Winnt\ShellIconCache.
Logoff and logon.

I did that some time ago when tyring to deal with unstable icons. The
problem cleared up and the system seems to be operating normally, but the
file has never been recreated. Do you have any idea why this might
happen?
