windows had an unexpected shut down

when I'm a way from my computer for a little while or my computer is locked
the computer has shut down and rebooted and on the screen it say windows had
an unexpected shut down and says do you want windows to find a solution for
this I click on yes but a day or two later it happens again does any one have
any ideas what I can do about this.Its a new computer with vista
preminum,computer is an HP.

Check in Event Viewer to see what sort of error message describes the reason
for the crash. You can also try using the debugging tools to pinpoint what
caused the crash.

When you click on "yes" to "find a solution"... what comes up? What's the
problem? There are many possible reasons why your computer is throwing
unexpected errors. Surely no one here, or anywhere else, can help you with
your problem without knowing the -specific- problem.

That said, if you cannot find an answer to your problem, I would seriousely
consider returning the PC to the vendor from which you purchased same.
Whether that be HP or BestBuy.
