I have some bug where from time to time, the graphic
colors on my screen will randomly change (as if one part
of the spectrum were removed)...

My DIY fix is to go to the Intel Graphics icon on the
control panel and reset to default, this returns the color
to normal but does not keep the problem from happening
again.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Sounds like the monitor, graphics adapter or cable is flaky, and the
forced reset is clearing the problem. Check cable connections and reseat
card as primary tests.

- See if you can get updated drivers for your video adapter, this will
likely resolve your issue.
- If that doesn't help: if you have printer drivers installed, try to use
in-box instead of vendor-supplied
