Windows goes into Standby and then off

When I am browsing my computer will go into standby and then turn off. This
can happen when I am using Word but have windows XP in the back ground. I had
a tech check it out and he tested the hardware and ran it straight for 3 days
with no problems. He says it is software related problem. Any ideas?

Try right click on desktop > properties > screensaver tab then click on
power tab at bottom set it to never and whilst you are there check the others
you may want to change see how you go with this.
