windows file protection

i get a constant error popup that says:

Files that are required for windows to run properly have
been replaced by unrecognized versions. to maintain
system stability, windows must restore the original
versions of these files.

insert your windows xp pro cd now.

As i do this it just dissapears. but when the disk is
removed it comes back again.
please help this is very irratating.

look in the event viewer for details
(eventvwr.msc from the RUN box)
look at the application and system messages.

If necessary have your xp cd handy and run
SFC /scannow
