Windows Explorer

When trying to access various folders on my local C drive and on shared
network drives I intermittently get this error message: “The filename,
directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.†Above the error
message is a variation of this message: C:\Documents and
Settings\myname\Desktop\Desktop\ []\my name\folder name\folder name is not
accessible. The small rectangular symbol is in place of what might be the
letter H for H drive (homedir) on a network share. But it is not the same
drive each time when the problem comes up. To temporarily correct the
problem I have to shut down Windows Explorer and then restart it.

Does anyone know a fix for this? Thanks.

Thanks Rich - Google helped. It led me to this MS article: 323681. Which
explains that if a user creates a Desktop folder on the Desktop then the
issues I am having could occur. Good job Rich!
