Please find the steps to restore the Windows Explorer icon.
1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Go to C:\Windows
3. Right click on explorer.exe and create a shortcut for it on the Desktop
and rename the shortcut on desktop to "Windows Explorer".
If the Windows Explorer icon is missing from accessories also, please
follow these steps.
1. Copy the shortcut on desktop
2. Right-click the Start button, and then click Properties.
3. On the Start Menu tab, under Start menu, click Customize.
4. Click on the Advanced button, under Start menu -> programs ->
accessories folder, right click and paste the shortcut.
