Windows Explorer too slow

Hi All,

To open Windows Explorer for "My Computer" it takes too much time to show
all folders. How that can be improved? This is Wondows XP service pack 2.
Also how can I make it go into "My Computer" and expand all folders when it
is opened.

For the slow opening try running the edits on Kelly's site, line 157,
both sides at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm:

"Prevent Automatic Folder and Icon Refresh"
"Prevent Delay Opening My Computer/Explorer"

Read the info at the top of the page about how to apply the edits.

I had the same problem with Explorer being so slow. I was using a VPN
connection, and it would take forever to browse the file structure. The
"Prevent Automatic Folder and Icon Refresh" at Kelly's Corner did the trick!
