Windows Explorer timeout when offsite

Hi,
one of clients is a consultancy that uses offline file/folders.

When connected at the office, all is fine. When disconnected at home/client
site etc all is fine. However when they connect in a network cable at a
remote site, windows assumes they are online. It then proceeds to take
minutes to open up explorer because it is trying to resolve their mapped
drives etc.

Any way around this?

thanks

If they are 'browsing' the files, then click on IE and FILE > WORK OFFLINE
