Windows explorer / internet explorer error

Hi,

I have the following problem: Working in Windows explorer works fine, untill
I select the thumbnails view, then windows explorer just shuts down.
I have win XP with SP2, running on a HP NC6000 laptop. I had the same
problem with SP1. The problems also occur when I use other programs like
publisher. I want to insert a picture from file, then I get a popup to select
the path of the picture. (the view is thumbnails). Again explorer & publisher
shut down.

Can you please help me?

This is the error I get from the event viewer:

Most often, this is simple a corrupt copy of the hidden file in that folder, named Thumbs.db. It can be deleted and recreated again
with a refresh of the folder.
