Hi

You may wish to try the program I used when I had problems whit windows
explorer. There is a lite " FREE " and a pro $$. version " 29 day trail ".
I used the lite version for a test... no errors or crash but it pause once
of twice but recover on its own in a minute or two. The only bad thing
about this program is that once you get use to it you may not want return
to windows explorer ( make windows exploere fell kind
clumsy....you'll see !!! ). I can't say if it will work on windows vista
but it runs fine on xp pro and xp-64 dual core ( somewhat like vista...
xp-64 with dual core ??? ) .

This is and snip from there site

" xplorer² is a file and information manager that adheres to the
philosophy "efficiency through simplicity". Without reinventing the wheel,
it integrates the best features of Windows' shell architecture in a small,
resource efficient package that's instantly familiar to work with. But look
a little closer and you'll discover a whole new world under the surface that
offers power, precision and flexibility, and will boost your everyday
productivity no end! "

Hey there,

Thank you for your reply.

There do seem to be some issues if I try and load something through windows
explorer to windows media player. However, if I bypass Windows explorer and
go straight to windows media player and open files through there, there is no
problem.

Also I've played games which uses a lot of sound and these run fine...

Problem still occurs, sometimes with the windows media player association,
and sometimes without...

I've run spybot, adaware and my trend software several times. nothing has
helped. any ideas?!?!

PLEASE HELP!!!
thanks
