Windows Explorer has "folder" look, and "tree" is gone

When selecting Windows Explorer, instead of having
a "tree" on the left side of the window, and an expansion
of the current node on the right, I'm getting a grey box
on the left (only the "X" in the upper right corner,
otherwise solid grey), and what looks the the default "my
computer" folder view on the right. I'd like to get back
to the default "explorer" look.
