Windows Explorer has encountered a problem...

When trying to browse the network or open the "Printers
and Faxes" control panel I get the following message:

Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for any inconvenience. It offers to
send the usual bug report and reloads Windows Explorer,
preventing me from accessing the network or printer
drivers.

This problem developed after I installed Microsoft Office
XP. Installing the office updates does not fix the
problem. A knowledge base article indicated this coluld
be due to attempting to share a Canon F30 printer over
the network. I do have a Canon F50, but am not trying to
share it.

I'm running Windows XP Professional with all updates
installed. I did a clean re-install with all updates
after failing to resolve the problem by other means. My
Network Places and Printers and Faxes are fine until I
install Office XP.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
