My system :Windows XP Home, LG CD RW/DVD ROM, Norton
Internet Security

Since a few months I have been plagued with a problem for
which I have no solution other than re-install my whole
system. I write my CD's with MS Explorer but I cannot see
what is on the CD or install software I have on CD's. At
first it came and went. Now it seems permanent. The CD's
are OK. I can see their content on other systems.

I suspect the problem occurred after an automatic XP
update by MS.

Any sensible suggestions are welcome, since I cannot re-
install XP not being able to read CD's.

Thanks.

I will answer myself.
The problem is with Symantec Norton Internet Security.
But Symantec suggests to use Nero 5.5 to solve the
problem.
One can also insert the CD in the drive and reboot. Then
Win Explorer will display the CD content. Once.
Very practical.
