DVD/CD Device Names in Windows Explorer

i have a Dell PC with Win XP and a Samsung DVD Reader/CD Writer which
showed in Windows Explorer as "DVD/CD-RW Drive(F:)".

I then added a LG DVD Writer/CD Writer as a master on the IDE Channel,
with the Samsung as Slave.

The LG shows in WinExplorer as "Removable Disk (F:)" and the Samsung
as before (with a drive change) as "DVD/CD-RW Drive(G:)".

Why do they show differently and can I get the LG to show as DVD-RW/CD-
RW, for instance.

Both use the same Microsoft drivers, and the LG did not need or have a
different driver. The hard disk uses SATA channel.

Both work OK.
