Windows Explorer dies regularly

I have Windows XP Pro with SP2 and all of the recent Windows Updates.
Every day I get an error to tell me that Windows Explorer has closed
unexpectedly. I have tried to reinstall SP2 to see if that resolves it but
it still dies.

The application event logs shows:

Source: Application Error
Category (100)
Event ID: 1000
Type: Error
User: N/A
"Faulting application EXPLORER.EXE, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module
unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x02d65ed5.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."

Any ideas would be welcomed.

Have a look in these - you may find your particular error.

Did you post the correct link to MS H&S Center?
