Windows Explorer cant remember Openned Folders

Hi,
I just cant seem to help myself now. After installing a patch on a windows
2000 Professional machine, my opened folders b4 shutdown does not reopen when
i start the machine. certain i needto twick something in the folders
settings. Any assistance?

You can try this:

Click Folder Options in Control Panel

Then, on the View tab, click to select the Restore Previous Folder Windows
at Logon check box.
I am not on a 2k box right at the moment but I think that's how it's done in
2k. There's a reg tweak for it somewhere if that doesn't work for you.

Hi Galen,
Thanks for the assistance. Its the registry tweak that i need. your
suggestion will only work for a WinXP machine and not a Win2K. Any Idea?

Here's the contents for a .reg file, or just edit the Registry key manually if you are comforable with doing that:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"PersistBrowsers"=dword:00000001
