Hi everyone,
I'm sorry if this has already been answered but, here it
goes anyway.I am running Window's XP home on a Sony Vaio
laptop. When window's starts I get a Window's explorer has
incountered a problem and needs to close message. If i
click don't send the screen goes blank for a sec, then the
error pops back up agian. I can pull the message box to
the bottom and use most of the programs on my desktop, but
cannot use anything from my toolbar including Start. I
have and have ran P C-illin and no virus was found. I
tried to return to last known good config., no change,
{although i'm not sure if it automatically backs things
for you, i have not done a back up on this pc}. When I
tried to download the service packs from the website
before i had this problem ,I got error messages, not sure
what they were. {This is a legal version it came with the
pc}. My XP cd has been lost, stolen, abducted by aliens,
not sure where it is. I would love any help I can get. my
E-mail is (e-mail address removed)

Also I done a scan disk the invalid links were in the
thousand's; most of them being in Temp file. I deleted all
my temp. internet files and that took care of most of
them, still remaining is
C:\DOCUME~1\PAPA~1\Temp\WER4.tmp.dir.00\appcompat.txt
and
C:\PAPA\Local setting\Temp\wera.tmp.dir00\windows\drwtsn.32

The Window's error message tech report:
This is in the box to be reported:

It means use paragraphs so people will bother to read it. I didn't read it. I saw a mass of text. For me most posts get 1/2 second to make me decide to read or not. I saw yours and just passed over.

Thank you!
