Error Generic Host Process for Win32

Can someone help please. My Firewall will not engage and I'm getting the
above subject error. The report contents show:

C:\Docume~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\\WER510f.dir00\svchost.exxe.mdmp
C:\Docume~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\\WER510f.dir00\appcompat.txt

I've tried everything I know. Thank you.

svchost.exxe.

If the above is not a typo then the system is infected with malware.
Sounds like the instance of svchost that initiates the firewall has been
affected.
First see if you can get the firewall repaired ... open a Comand Prompt
from Start > Run > type in

cmd

Click OK
At the Command Prompt type in

netsh firewall reset

Press Enter
Then type

netsh winsock reset

Press Enter

Then type

exit

Press Enter
Restart the system

If the error message continues then strongly suggest you either post
this issue to a reputable anti-malware forum or bring the system to a
reputable Tech. Not one of those "Freak Squads" run by a big box store
like Best Buy, CompuSa, etc.
