My windows XP withSP2 has stoped recognising the above drive. I cannot
'send to' from any windows applications and explorer doesnt see any
media either I have tried:
rolling back and re-installing drivers
Re- instaling drive unit

Can anyone help?

The drive is visible and works from other packages such as nero or
video and audio packages.

Nero disables this. If it is disabled, SendTo > CD Drive (X:) will not
appear.

CD Drive enable XP's recording wizard

Open My Computer, right click the CD Drive icon and then click Properties.
Click the Recording tab.
Check: Enable CD recording on this drive
Click: Apply
Click: OK

Enable CD recording on this drive
This setting turns on the built-in CD recording features included with
Windows XP.
Third-party programs sometimes disable this setting.
You can only enable CD recording for one device at a time.

If you enable the above, Nero will not work correctly.

If you have InCD also, there should be a SendTo shortcut. Howver, it can
get screwed up...
