CD Writers, DVD Writers suddenly all seen as CD-ROMs by Windows XP
The drive icons in Explorer used to identify the type of drive "DVD-RW
drive" "DVD Drive" etc, now they all just say "CD Drive".
Windows XP built in CD Writing is not available.
I've tried deleting various things in Device Manager and re-detecting
but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Anyone know how to fix it?

Okay that gets me the built in CD writing back, and now the DVD-RW drive
seems to sometimes show as a DVD-RW drive in Explorer but how can I get
the others to show as DVD drives etc?

Also I notice when I change the drive letter of one of the CD/DVD drives
now I have to re-boot before I can use the new letter. The drive shows
in explorer with the old letter and a hard drive icon with a red
exclamation mark until I re-boot.

More info:
Disk labels no longer show in Explorer.
The DVD-RW drive now usually does show as DVD-RW Drive but disk labels
do not show.

Correction disk labels don't show in the DVD-RW drive.
AutoRun doesn't work at all.
