No sound with DVD Video

Hi Folks,

For some reason, I no longer get audio when I play a DVD Video file,
either from the hard drive or from the DVD drive. This is true
whether I use WMP, RealPlayer, or Nero Media Player. I can play mpg
video files and get audio, I can play mp3 audio files from my hard
drive, I can play streaming audio, and I can play an audio CD from the
DVD drive. The problem seems to be player independent with DVD Video
only, regardless of source. Any suggestions would be much
appreciated. Thanks.

I remember an identical problem from a user that was caused by one of the Nero audio plugins.

Start the DVD video in WMP and then select Tools/Plug-ins/Options/DVD Tab/Advanced Button. The Nero plugin dialog should pop up. Select the Properties Tab and then select one of the options in the "Output Audio Channels" section.

The only permanent resolution, at that time, was to uninstall Nero. Not sure if Ahead has patched or resolved this problem.
